We're
finally getting much-needed rain and moderate temperatures in the
Central Texas area so the weather is perfect for metal detecting and
treasure hunting! Although, this time of year, our Club pages focus a
lot on our upcoming Open Hunt, we must never forget that our main
purpose is educating people on this amazing hobby and getting outdoors
and enjoying it ourselves! For me, this is the best time of the year
for detecting and I intend to enjoy it fully! I hope each of you will
too.
Some photos from the past.
- My metal detecting partner and CTTC Co-Huntmaster Caiden Tyler with a beautiful Gulf sign he found a couple of years ago while we were detecting an old permission site.
- Our Members metal detecting during our 2023 CTTC Fall Picnic at an area city park where we have permission for our Members to detect.
- Finds I made in Brownwood in a 2-hour detecting outing in November 2019. Pictured is a beautiful 10k gold necklace with over 100 stones that I found that day. The necklace alone paid for my Tesoro Mojave detector TWICE over!
- One of our Central Texas Treasure Club Members teaching a Boy Scout how to metal detect during an Introduction to Metal Detecting Program our Club hosted for Boy Scout Troop 14 in Brownwood in May, 2019.Jay Longley, President, Central Texas Treasure Club
