Special Announcement! CTTC Silver Dollar Fundraising Raffle!

CTTC Fundraising Raffle. I've purchased 4 beautiful BU 1921 Morgan silver dollars for our club this year. 1921 was the last year that Morgans were minted and that's the same year their replacements, Peace dollars, started being produced. We gave away one to Member Kendall Thomas for finding the token for it in our CTTC Silver Dollar Hunt #1 and one to Member John Meeks for finding the token in CTTC Silver Dollar Hunt #2. John also found the silver dollar prize token and received the 3rd Morgan during last month's April Surprise Hunt.
Here's how you can have a chance to win the 4th BU 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar. Tickets for this Raffle will be $2 each and both Members and non-members may purchase as many tickets as you want. The catch is that these tickets will ONLY be sold during our June 4th and July 2nd regular monthly CTTC meetings! The silver dollar will be raffled off near the end of the July 2nd meeting when we hold our other usual raffles. So to buy tickets, you must attend at least one of these meetings. All money collected will go to benefit the Central Texas Treasure Club.

2024 CTTC Members-Only April Surprise Hunt - Tomorrow - Saturday, April 27th!

Don't forget! Our annual Members-Only Central Texas Treasure Club's April Surprise Hunt is tomorrow, Saturday, April 27th! Instead of burying just one prize token for the Hunt, I'll be burying two this year! One will be for a beautiful Brilliant Uncirculated 1921 Morgan silver dollar and the second one will be for the best digging tool I've ever found in the 55 years I've been detecting - a Treasure Wise 3-in-1 Digging Knife!
Members must meet at Pat Coursey Park in downtown Brownwood before 10:00 a.m. I'll announce the secret hunt site there and about 10:05, we'll depart for the nearby hunt site. This hunt will last for 90 minutes. See the featured post on this page for more details.
See you there!

Central Texas Treasure Club Open Hunt - October 12, 2024 in Brownwood!

ATTENTION! The date has been set for our annual Central Texas Treasure Club's 2024 Open Hunt! It will be held on Saturday, October 12th in Brownwood. The location has been changed to Camp Bowie's Memorial Park instead of Allcorn Park where it's been held for many years. The new site offers a larger hunting area while giving participants an opportunity to view the park's beautiful memorial to the soldiers who fought in World War II as well as several WW II tanks, vehicles, and big guns on display.
Our Huntmasters Joshua Furry and Caiden Tyler will have Hunt flyers/registration forms ready to send out by May 1st. We'll also have our Gold Coin Raffle flyers available at that time. If you want to receive printable copies of both flyers, email your requests to us to: centraltexastreasureclub@gmail.com

CTTC Silver Dollar Treasure Hunt #2 Winner!

Longtime CTTC Member John Meeks just called and confirmed that he found the Silver Dollar prize token (German coin) during his lunch break a few minutes ago! Congratulations, John! Only those Members who attended last Tuesday's monthly meeting were eligible to participate in our CTTC Silver Dollar Treasure Hunt #2. John also found 2 of the 4 tokens for smaller prizes that I buried on the new hunt site.
John will receive a BU 1921 Morgan silver dollar when he redeems his silver dollar prize token. John is proof that it pays to attend our meetings! Persistence Pays!
Get out those detectors and find some treasure!
